Brief Description:  Worked on canopy handle & ELT antenna installatio

It was a little too cool today to drill the wind screen and Vern Darley, our EAA tech advisor had STRONLY suggested that we install an ELT antenna that had a "view of the sky". We had it back behind the baggage bulkhead. So today we pulled some antenna wire through the wiring grommet in the center tunnel, made a bracket that allowed the antenna to mount vertically just behind the brace on the forward bulkhead (where the flap motor installs). You can see the bracket and the wire going down in the tunnel in Image #2 and the installed antenna running up parallel to the brace. It should be able to see the sky and also will be out of the way of baggage and also want add drag as an external antenna would.
We then started installing the canopy handle. The "bushing" on the canopy frame was too long to allow the locking "finger" of the handle to fit over the stud so I cut it off with the Dremel wheel while the canopy was still on the air plane. This can be seen in Image #1.
