Brief Description:  Fitting wing tip lens-Wired G396/Rt. PTT switch

We put the wing tips on and began trimming the wing tip lens with a Dremel cutoff wheel. However we still don't have a good fit. Claude will bring his belt sander out tomorrow and will finish up this task.
The strobes and nav lights are wired but we still must mount the wing tip antennas before we can put the wing tips on for good.
The Garmin 396 was not getting cross filled from the 430 and was not giving audio to the audio panel. I called Ron at Aerotronics and he suggested put the data communication to Aviation/NMEA/....(I forgot the rest but when I did it it worked). I could enter a flight plan in the 430 and it would cross fill into the 396. He then walked me through the wiring for the audio on the 396. I had to make several jumpers on plug #P2 since I was not putting in an auxiliary source for audio. Now we can get the nice lady telling us to pull up and can also get XM radio on the audio panel. I am getting much better at crimping of d-sub pins but I will be GLAD when we are through.
