Brief Description:  Completed radio stack alteration-Double rudder gro

We finished fabricating the bottom of the radio stack cutout and primed and riveted it into place. (See Image #1). Image #2 shows the altered cutout from the rear and shows the angle across the bottom for strength. Not well seen are 2 angles under the original flanges which were riveted in place to further strengthen the whole radio stack. All still seem to still fit the panel. In the near future we will lift the panel in and give it a final check before riveting the entire front deck into place. We started dimpling the 3 ribs to the firewall and will finish that tomorrow.....I had read in the RVator that the rudder cables could wear through the grommets in the bulkheads that they pass through. One of our A&P advisors also pointed out that same possibility. We therefore found some grommets that could be split, fit over the cable and inserted in the grommets already in place. Now if these inner grommets wear through, we just need to change them.
