Brief Description:  Torqued spar box nuts

When we got out to the hangar this morning, we discovered that we would need to put washers under the four lower "AN 7("Close tolerance) bolts that had been installed on the spar box. This was necessary since we could only torque the bolt heads on these lower bolts. Of course, being close tolerance bolts, they didn't just tap out. We really had a time! When they finally were pulled out and the washers installed on both the head and under the nut, we also had a time even getting the nuts on. Finally with all the washers and nuts in place, we borrowed a 1/2 inch drive torque wrench from Keith Thompson and torqued 6 of the 8 bolts. Tomorrow we will torque the other 2 "AN 7" bolts and then work on the close tolerance "AN4"bolts. The bottom 4 AN4 bolts will also be difficult but maybe not AS difficult as the ones today. Image #1 shows the "AN 7" bolts torqued and marked with finger nail polish.
