The finish kit arrived today by Fed-X and was shipped upside down! The shipping company had called Friday and told us we needed to help unload it. They said that it was on a regular 4x5 pallet. So I arrainged to have a forklift ready. However the box was 8 feet long and weighed 340 lbs. and was NOT on a pallet! Claude and I with the help of the driver were able to get the box off the truck and onto my trailer without a fork lift. We then moved the box over to the hangar and unloaded it onto the dolly that we had made Friday. It worked fine. We opened the end of the box and found that with the crate upside down, the canopy was on the bottom and there were several items resting in it. The motor mount and wheels and brakes were anchored to the "top" and didn't seem to be resting on the canopy but we can't be sure about damage until we open the top of the crate. We now have the crate oriented in the proper position with the motor mount on the bottom and the canopy on top.......... We studied wiring routes and routing the rudder cables and trim cable to the back of the fuselage so that we can run these and the strobe and nav light wires back to the back before installing the horizontal stabilizer. It is complex and I can't find the right drawings to illustrate all we need to know. I will study them some more tonight.
