Brief Description: Safety wiring roll servo/Stripped paint off seat b
I had not planned on going out to the air port today but I ate so much at lunch that I figured I had better ride my bike which is out there. While I was there, I just had to do a few things. I tried to safety wire the roll servo in place. I don't think that it came out just right. Keith Thompson, an A&P in the next hangar, said that he would come over next week and check me out. I have read all the books on how to do it but something is lacking. I had decided that I didn't like the hammered silver look so I got some paint stripper and started taking the paint off the seat backs. It was a MESS. I did learn one thing though; the self-etching primer in a rattle can is good stuff. It just doesn't want to come off. I also drilled in assembly a few holes in the skin that will hold the pitot backing plate in place. I had to do this from within the wing. I think that I have enough drilled now that we can take the skin off with the backing plate in place and continue to drill it that way.
