Brief Description:  Ran wires in wings/Anchored conduit left wing/Adde

Yesterday, I looked up the wire sizes & planned the wire runs. Today, we pulled the conduit through the second lightening hole in the ribs thus getting it away from possible interference with the aileron bell cranks. We then tied a piece of string to a cotton ball and pulled it through with the wet vac. It worked like a charm. (see vac in Image 2) We then pulled the nav, landing light, and antenna wires through the conduit as seen in image #1. I then drilled small holes in the ribs and inserted cable ties to anchor the conduit(See Image 2). Chip Malmborg came by as Claude and I were trying to drill the holes in the ribs beneath the already riveted skin. We couldn't seem to get to them but Chip has LONG arms and drilled a couple of "inaccessible" ribs for us BUT on the left wing only. Chip is off to Miami and now we will have to search for someone else with LONG arms to get to the last 3 ribs in the right wing .......We are running the nav. and landing light wires and the marker beacon and nav antenna wires down the conduit. The strobe light wires will run through separate grommets so as to lessen the chance for radio interference. We will also handle the wires for heated pitot that way since it also carries high wattage. We are of course using shielded antenna wire but we were still concerned about radio noise. ..........I had worried that the cutout in the flange of the rib you see in Image 3 didn't properly support the right step and checked it out. It didn't so Claude and I studied the problem and found that a piece of nylon block that had been discarded fit perfectly under the step and supported it even better than the rib flange would have. We will "glue" it in place with "GOOP" which we will also use to cushion the wiring conduit against the ribs in the wings.
