Brief Description: Machined radius in the 757S; Riveted; Drilled out
Today, we finished driving out the tail of the temporary pop rivets holding much of the 705 bulkhead together. We then cut a radius in the 757 part that can be seen facing left in Image 1 and right in image 2. In image 2 you can see where we laid out a rivet line, countersunk the longeron and squeezed the flush #4 rivets seen on the left. We then riveted some of the universal head rivets holding the 757S to 705. YOu can see 3 rivets in the center and can see the markings (3-7,3-7,3-6 etc) which reminds us of the flush 3's we have to squeeze or buck tomorrow. Some of the rivets can't be reached with either method and may require pop rivets. We will see........tomorrow.
