Brief Description: Left inboard aileron hinge Plans table
Todaly was much better day. I finally completed the left inboard aileron hinge. This was the part that I messed up so badly 10 days ago and had to order new parts. Today, I buffed the parts, drilled and deburred them, countersunk the specified holes, and then squeezed the rivets, even the 4-11's that the pneumatic squeerer wouldn't do. I used the Cleaveland big squeeze and it handled these long rivets without a hitch. This is the first part that I can say looks JUST as it should. I also primed it and at the same time one of the steel steps that might have started to rust soon. Next time, I will assemble the other inboard aileron hinge, prime it and the other step. I am using self-etching NAPA primer in the rattle can. I cleaned the parts first with soap and water and then with thinnner. Claude constructed a table to use to hold plans so as to free up the work table
