Brief Description: Installed the bolts on the bearings
Worried all night that the holes that I drilled in the elevator horns were not in the right place and that the elevators would not be in trail. I rushed out to the hagar as soon as I got up and checked it with a straight edge and much to my relief, the alignment was perfect. I had reviewed this subject on Van's Airforce and evidently there are many who have trouble but I was blessed.Installed all the bolts on the bearings. I had trouble getting the washers down in the small gaps. Keith showed me how to slip them in. Nothing is easy.The elevator is now anchored properly and things line up.The rest of the QB kit was to come next week but due to illness of one of the drivers, it has been delayed and will not leave Oregon until 25 May. I think that I have done all the needs to be done to the empennage.I am going to fly my little Cherokee up to Peachtree City tomorrow, to attend a siminar sponsored by Aircraft Spruce.
The horns that have been drilled Alignment is correct.
