Brief Description: Turned in rod end bearings after getting tool and
Was able to turn the rod end bearings in easily after receiving the tool and lube from Avery's and also got a new bearing for the one I scared up. Attempted to get the bolts in the bearings but had difficulty. Searched for a hemostat to grasp it.After getting the bearings installed in the hinges, we had to one at a time drill each of the elevator horns, first with a centering bushing that Keith found for us and then uninstall the elevators and drill to 1/4 inch size so as to anchor both horns to the central bearing. The instructions said to be sure that the elevators are in trail and I am not sure what that means. I am afraid that I will worry about it all night. The elevators have excellent travel and there is nothing binding. This however was the first time that I had to commit my self to drilling holes that if were wrong would mean building another elevator.
