Brief Description:  Engine Cooling Plenum 6

More plenum work today. I continued trimming the plenum and adjusting the fit. The flanges on the sides were a little uneven. I clamed them brtween two bits of aluminum angle and applied heat with a heat gun. Once the parts were hot and more pliable I increased the clamping pressure to flatted the edge. Once it had cooled to room temp I took the clamps off and the edges were straight!

I drilled the flanges on the side to the baffles and installed nutplates on the baffles. The final assembly will use AN525 (washer head) screws, I used regular #8 screws for the fitting. I may add a sheet of aluminum to act as a bearing surface and doubler, we'll see. I still need to and the aluminum angle at the back and fron that will attach those areas to the baffles.

I also did some sanding to even out the surface. I plan to clearcoat the carbon fiber.
