Brief Description:  Engine Cooling Plenum 4

More work same day (or night).

After I had the first layer of glass wet-out I put down the next layer wihich is carbon fiber. I am using the carbor fiber since it is much siffer than fiberglass for a given weight. Plus it looks cool.

The third layer is a product I haven't used before. It is a double-bias knitted fabric. It is a very heavy fabric at around 17oz/yrd. The double bias means it conforms to curves very well. The fabric did conform great, but was a pain to wet out. In the future I would rather use two layers of BID instead of one layer of this. Live and learn, but it did the job.

The forth and final layer was another carbon fiber. This is the consmetic layer so I made sure it was pretty and there were no pulls of errors in the fabric. I used the laminating roller to draw some of the resin up from that heavy layer and then added more resin to ensure full wet-out.
