Brief Description:  Engine Crankcase Breather and Oil Lines 1

I have been putting this off for a while, but finally got around to getting a part I needed so I had no more excuses.

As purchased my engine had an oil cooler bypass fitting installed above the oil filter. For my application this port needs to be plugged. I ordered the plug from ECI and received it today.

Replacing the plug is no big deal. However, the crankcase breather fitting that came on the engine can't be removed while the engine is attached to the mount. This fitting would work fine for my AC, but it just so happens that the breather fitting is blocking access to the cooler bypass fitting I need to replace.

Sooooo, I have to remove the engine from the engine mount. First I disconnected everything and capped all the ports. I then removed the oil cooler the left baffle assembly. The engine is easy enough to remove, it is the reinstallation that is always fun.

Once the engine was off I removed the breather and bypass fittings and installed the plug with a new crush washer. I am going to install a different type of breather fitting that can be removed while the engine is mounted.
