Brief Description:  Engine Baffles 7

Ok, today I worked on the cyl baffle tension rods. In pairs, the cyl have sheets of aluminum the wrap around the bottom og the cyl barrel. There are rods on the bottom that keep this wrap tight against the cooling fins. This forces the cooling air through rather than around the fins. The tension rods are supplies as stainless rod stock and must be cust, bent, and then tapped for threads. The cutting and bending went just fine. My first set of threads did not, so I had to scrap one piece. The rest went just fine. Of course there is not enough material to make a replacement rod, so I need to order 9.5" of rod....

I still need to add some anti-chafe material and make a few tweaks for clearance, but the rods look pretty good.
