More work on the oil cooler mount today. Now that all the parts for the mount are fitted and driller I riveted the left rear baffle assembly together. I used flush rivets on the bottom of the oil cooler reinforcement to keep the flow as smooth as possible.
I also added another support. The inside corner of the cooler mount still has quite a bit of flex, even with Vans reinforcement bracket. I used some stainless tube with the ends flattened to attach from the baffle side to the inside corner of the oil cooler mount. Keep in mind that I have an 0.063 doubler on the entire side baffle. On the side baffle the SS tube connect through the baffle plus the stiffener angle so there is over 1/8" worth or material there. In the back, the SS tube attaches to the flange I riveted to Vans bracket to the is 0.063 thick where it mounts.
