Brief Description: Finish Trim Motor, Begin Vertical Stab
Located the center of the lightening hole in the elevator weldment. Used a step drill to drill up hole in end rib for trim wires to pass through. Deburred hole and inserted snap ring. Finalized connections for trim actuator, tightened all screws and nuts, and marked with torque-seal.
Begin work on mounting vertical stab. Located F-781 plate and did layout for mounting holes. Put stab on the fuselage and verified the forward spar will require trimming per the plans. Marked for trim, and cut off with dremel cutting wheel. Filed and deburred edges. Stab fits better now. Filed the aft edge of the F-714 aft deck near the last bulkhead to improve the fit here.
