Brief Description:  Drill Right F-638 Seat Back

Scuff second seat back brace. Removed blue plastic from one seat back. The seat backs are 23 1/4 long but the plans call for trimming them to 23 3/8. Obviously this won't work. I'll adjust the tops of the side angles to fit once they are drilled to the seat backs. I used a vixen file with a piece of steel clamped across the angle to make the relief for the angle where it overlaps the bottom hinge. Started at the bottom and laid out the centerlines for holes and marked the first three hole locations. Centerpunched and drilled the angle to #40 on the drill press. Clamped the angle to the seat back and match drilled the bottom holes to the seat back. Repeat for other side. Laid out holes on the hinge. Drilled to #40 on the drill press. Clamped the hinge on the seat back and match drilled. Marked holes up the sides to the top pleat. Removed angles and drilled #40 on the drill press. Reinstalled angles and match drilled to back. Put the seat back in the plane for a test fit.
