I did not drill the F-721B to the longerons when I bent them as called for in the plans. I waited until this point to have better references to align the parts on the longerons. Turns out they ended up exactly where the instructions said to put them in the first place.
I clamped the F-721B in place to drill to the longeron. Used some tape and packing paper to try and keep drill shavings out of the joints along the fuselage. I lined up the 721s as close as I could to the edge, clamped and drilled, clecoing as I went. Ended up with a slight overhang which I marked with a sharpie from underneath and will sand off before filing to final fit.
I am using an internal rudder stop and so had to add two rivets to aft flange on the F-712 bulkhead to capture the end of the j-channel and fill in the pattern. Used the rivet fan to locate the holes, marked, centerpunched, and drilled. Used a squeezer to dimple the stack and then set the rivets.
