I primed the parts over the weekend with NAPA 7220 self etching primer.
Used the gun and bucking bar to rivet the SL-00014 reinforcing angles to the skin.
Marked the location of the spacers on the top of the F-714 to give a reference when installing the horizontal stab later. Cleco'd on the F-714 and spacers. Used the squeezer to set as many of the rivets as I could. Used the gun and bucking bar to set remaining rivets. I had trouble with the inboard rivet right in front of the F-711C bars on both sides. After two failed attempts, I replaced both with cherrymax rivets. The outboard rivets looked to be an even bigger challenge, so I used cherrymax for those right off the bat.
Used tape to mark cleco's for the "no rivet" zones on the forward fuselage. Used the squeezer to rivet the skin to longerons in the cockpit area.
