Removed the F-714 and spacers and deburred all holes in the parts and fuselage. While they were off I decided to do the Service Letter SL-00014 modification to reinforce the tail section.
Did the layout to locate the rivet holes for the angle braces as decribed in the plans. Made sure references were correct on left and right side of plane. Drilled initial hole and used prepunched holes in angle to match drill skin. Cleco'd angles on inside to check for any interference. Only had to trim one end of one angle. Removed angles and deburred all holes.
Scuffed all parts with scotchbrite, dimpled the angles and skin, and washed in Dawn dish soap and warm warer to prepare for priming.
