Brief Description: Test Fit Almost a 14 Mod, File F-721B
Removed the F-721Bs and deburred all holes in parts and longerons. I am installing the "Almost a 14" mod as part of the build. Removed the cross brace at F-705 bulkhead by cutting a slot in one end and bending aft side up to clear the bulkhead. This allowed removal with minimal damage in case I need it again later.
Test fit the new cross brace with the locating bulkhead caps. I had drilled the caps when building the F-705 bulkhead. That was premature as the holes do not line up well with the parts fitted to the longerons. Ordered new caps from Antisplat.
Used the belt sander to carefully remove excess material from the F-721Bs. Cleaned up edge on scotchbrite wheel and reinstalled. Taped the side of fuselage to protect from scratches, and used a file to work fit of F-721Bs. Finished on the scotchbrite wheel.
