I thought I would have the gear done today and ready to install in the plane, but it turns out there are a few days of work. Today I mounted the brake caliper mount to the gear and starter working on the wheel fairing brackets. As it turns out I need to pack the bearing with Aero Shell 22 high temp MIL Spec. G 81322 and believe it or not they don’t have the stuff and Lowes. A call to Aircraft Spruce and $20 dollars later and the grease was in the mail. Next time in the hanger, I pack the bearings, insert the tubes and tires and assemble the wheels. The nose wheel has some special brackets for the wheel pant and they all get platenuts, so it will take a few more days to get it done.
