The RV nose wheel is known to have a maintenance issues and many have been looking for the best way to fix the issue of the outside spacers spinning and wearing the fork. Also the bearing gets too much side pressure. Ray Sheffield is a machinist extraordinaire made a busing for his RV 8 which seems to fix the problem. I still think the outside bushings needs a tapped bolt through the folk into the bushing to keep the assembly from rotating under sever landings and will add this. I sweet talked Ray into turning me a bushing (close tolerances) or I would have done it myself, the lathe in our shop is just not capable of working something this large or accurate. I think this will do a good job, stay tuned.
