OK, so, after talking to Ed Booth, I decided to go first class and use AN fittings and hoses for the manifold pressure in front of the firewall, Ed told me if you get a leak in the manifold hose, it can lead to leaning of the number 3 cylinder and cause critical damage to the engine. Its not the pressure, but just the chance of a leak. It can get pretty hot in front of the firewall, so an AN fitting and hoses are in order. It did cost $49 for the Aeroquip 666 hose made up to 20" from Aircraft Spruce, which is the downside. Oh well, it’s only money and being 62, I’m on the back nine!
