Brief Description:  Special way to add a nut plate without more holes

I just did not like the tapped holes in the longeron for the tail fairing because the material is only 1/8” thick. It may be ok for a while, but it just didn’t seem very aircraft worthy. So after scratching my head for a while on how to add a nut plate with more holes, I decided to make a nut plate stripe and use existing rivet hole use to rivet the skin to the longeron. The net is a very neat job and a locking nut plate to keep the screw in place. It is strong, efficient and neat. I will use this technique again if the need arises. Rafael helped me to rivet in place because it is a little bit of a reach.
