Originally I was going to install the Avery static ports with Pro-Seal only, but decided I needed to find a good way to hold them in place while the Pro-Seal hardens. I seemed like the easiest way to get the job done was clecos and rivets. Drill 3 holes, dimple and countersink, Pro-seal, cleco and after it hardens, come back and buck three rivets. Also, the added benefit is should the Pro-Seal fail the rivets won’t. OK, not likely, but this is still the easiest “cool” way of doing it. Let’s face it, Vans pop rivet ports are lame. The Pro-Seal came in the mail today from Van’s so I’ll do this and the vents next time at the shop.
