The project for today was to make the wing root fairings. They come in the kit punched to match the wing rivet location but require trimming to have an even gap of 3/16” from the fuselage. I made a small jig with a hole for a Sharpie pen point that is the required 3/16” and used this to run along the fuselage and mark the line on the fairing after the fairing was clecoed in place. This worked well. I then removed the fairing and cut just outside of the line, then draw filed and sanded to the line. It really came out spot on and the rubber channel fits well.
