Brief Description: Drilling and fitting the aileron hinges, bellcrank
I match drilled all of the holes in the flap and aileron braces except where the flap hinge goes and Les helped me to machine the bushings for the aileron bell cranks. This was supposed to be just cut to length and drill out job, but they seemed out of round and one was slightly distorted. We started with a reamer, and that got stuck, so we pulled it out and went with a .245 drill. That did the trick, then we turned the end and did a trial fit. After a few iterations, we got it perfect with just a little vertical play to keep it from binding. The I greased it and installed it in the left wing, I’ll do the right wing install tomorrow.
