Brief Description: Riviting the aileron hinges to the wing
Today I went to the hanger to get a few small thing done. I wanted to rivet the aileron hinges to the wings and install the aileron bell cranks. Les helped me buck a few rivets that I could not handle on my own and have them all on except one, and I'll do that one in the AM. I also put the bell crank into the left wing after apply a liberal amount of grease. I had to drill out a few rivets that just didn’t look right, but it is really easy doing this with my new rivet drill out cage for AN 470 rivets, it works flawlessly. I also started the push rods. ISince we have a lath in the hanger, I covered the powder coated tube with masking tape and used a cut off bit. perfect the first time and no need to do and thing else other then drill for rivets.
