I installed the wheel pants brackets for the main gear in preparation for the wheel fairings. I also needed to see how it would fit with the leg fairing. It turned out there was some clearance issue with the disk brake and required a washer under each spacer to get the required 1/16” clearance. I also cut the leg fairings to length and started attaching the rear hinge. This allows fairing removable for brake line servicing or future fairing repair. There is quite a bit of work involved in the leg fairing, besides the hinge mounting, countersinking, and riveting, there is some laminating of doublers where the leg attaches with a hose clamp. More pictures to follow; next time in the shop I will finish the hinge mounting, and riveting and perhaps laminate the attach area.
