Brief Description:  SCAT Routing and Clamping

Completing the re-routing of the SCAT for the cabin heat. The heat muff is mounted on the cross over pipes on the front of the engine just behind the alternator/starter location. It routes along the right side of the Bendix RSA fuel servo, inside of the down pipe for the right-side exhaust. Making sure there is clearance between the exhaust and the fuel servo was challenging, and required making a custom bracket that attaches to the engine mount, to attach a stainless strap around the SCAT where is makes the turn to run behind the engine sump.

At this point, another custom bracket is used to attach the SCAN via a 2" WD clamp where the SCAN then turns towards the firewall,

I had to relocate the FAB bypass cable where it was previously clamp, there was too much interference, fortunately this cable is easy to flex and re-clamp to the engine mount using WDG clamp, giving plenty of clearance for the SCAT.

Not shown, but the SCAT then connects to the stainless cabin heat vent mounted to the firewall per Van's location.

Finding a route that cleared the fuel servo control arm and cable, the exhaust, the lower cowl, and the engine mount took longer than originally anticipated. I basically just kept trying different routes when I learned something new was causing a problem...
