Brief Description: Cowling - Oil Door and Lower Cowl Fill and Sand
Ordered and received a set of oil door Camloc from Skybolt. Installed and adjusted for the oil door closure. These work exceptionally well.
Started working on the lower cowl, while not as nearly a train wreck as the upper, still needs attention to fill the pin holes and imperfections caused when the cowl was released. Cleaned then filled the pin holes and various other issues using the same 3M Glaze/Putty as I used on the upper cowl and other fiberglass fairings. The product has about a 30 second working time before it starts to set up, so working in small batches.
After the glaze/putty set up, sanded the lower cowling using 100 grit.
