Decided to proceed with sanding the cowl now that it fits on the airframe. The right lower cowl is very rough, so mixed up a batch of epoxy and micro balloons and applied to the lower cowl, used a trowel to smooth it out.
The leading edge of the upper and lower cowl has a small gap, which I filled and will sand down to get a nice even surface. The cowl is going to take a lot of work to get smooth and remove pin holes.
