Brief Description: Landing and Recognition Lights - Part 2
Both light tubes are fabricated, now for making them useful. I took each tube and trimmed the excess material of the flange so it would fit inside the wing tip interior. Sanded to create a 20-degree offset angle to correct for the wing tip angle. Marked, cut, smoothed the edges, bent, and then matched drill an aluminum fitting to each light tube to attach each light using the provided hex head screw and lock washer. Test fitted each light tube inside the wing tip and adjust the flange until the light was centered in the hole previously cut into the wing tip.
