While waiting for an assist from one of the local A&Ps, decided to finally make the battery hold down for the Odyssey battery. Using a piece of thick paper from an old calendar, created a template for the battery hold down. The template has cut-outs where the battery terminal posts are located.
From a piece of scrap L-Angle aluminum, traced the template and then cut out the unwanted areas. A second piece of l-Angle is used to hold the bottom of the battery in place in the battery tray, which is bolted to the battery tray via AN4 bolts.
Used the long hardware bolts provided by Van's as method to attach the battery hold down to the battery tray.
The system seems very robust, shaking of the battery just shakes the entire air frame, no play whatsoever.
