Brief Description:  Transponder Location Adjustment

While 'cleaning up' the avionics bay - there's been one item that's bugged me for some time, that is the main wiring bundle in the by, attached by WDG clamps to the main avionics brace, rises directly on top of the transponder tray. This is a concern since I don't want vibration to cause the wire bundle to rub against the tray.

To fix, I decided to lower the tray 1/2" or so. On some rare occasions, I have been fortunate to receive a bit of luck, and this is one of those times. I previously created 1/4" spacers for the transponder tray. Now, I located some 1/8" aluminum trim, which I cut to the same length as the transponder tray. I duplicated the mounting holes for the tray assembly, as well as the mounting locations on the avionics for bulkhead and rear avionics bay brace.

This resulted in the transponder tray being ~ 3/4"lower than previously, providing plenty of clearance for the main wiring bundle, which was the primary goal. It also eliminated the need for the 1/4" spacers, a benefit, and made it possible to easily install and remove the transponder while the tray is installed, a bog benefit and my one of my original goals.
