A bit of trouble with the COMM 2 radio location now that I relocated the transponder lowering it about 3/4". Now the COMM 2 radio interferes with the left side brake line that is close to the lower side of the avionic bay bulkhead. I need to move it about 1/2" aft, and it would be nice to move it outboard as far as possible at the same time.
Removed the transponder tray, and drilled out the rivets holding the COMM 2 radio bracket on the underside. I may be able to re-use these, depending on what I come up with on the relocation.
I tried to test locate the COMM 2 radio in several places, so far, I am not happy... just another in a long series of episodic adventures of trial and error until I found a location that works.
