Brief Description:  Installing the Fuel Flow Sensor

Finally, after several false starts to install the fuel flow sensor, decided to use AN to NPT fittings to enable the 1/8" line to connect to the Red Cube which requires 1/4" NPT fittings. This pretty much dictates a vertical installation with the inbound port facing down, the outbound port facing up.

Decided to mount the Red Cube on a new plate which is held in place by AN3 bolts top and bottom to WDG-12 clamps to the engine mount. The plate is from .063 trimmed to size, and then located #12 holes 5 inches apart for the AN3 bolts in common with the WDG-12 clamps.

Located the 1/4" holes located 1 & 3/8" apart for the AN4 bolts used to attach the Red Cube to the plate. Installed the plate to the WDG clamps and installed the Red Cube to the mount plate. Now I am finally able to determine the lengths of the custom fuel lines from the fuel servo to the fuel flow sensor, and from the sensor to the fuel divider.

Due to this location and planned routing of the two aforementioned lines, the main 1/4" line from the mechanical fuel pump to the fuel servo needs to re-route, and it's not nearly long enough for its new route.

I have spare 1/4" line and spare 1/8" line which is not usable to anything in my installation, except to mock up the routing and lengths needed for the remaining connections.

>>> I also need to source a prop governor hard line. <<< If you have an extra, let me know !
