Brief Description: Mill Fiber Nutplate Plates In Position
Worked on glueing the nutplate retainers in place for the landing gear attachment. I sanded the backs of the plates and the areas where they mount with 80 grit sandpaper. I used a thick mill fiber to bond them is position. I used waxed bolts to clamp them down. I finished the RH wing plates (three). On the LH side on of my plates (previous builder fab) had a nutplate mislocated. When I went to install all four bolts only three would go. I pulled the plate cleaned of the mill fiber and gave up. I did mange to get the side brace plate in on the left side. I will need to remake the foward trunion nutplate retainer with proper hole spacing.
