Brief Description: Half Fork Gear Door Mounting Holes
The main landing gear half forks need three holes drilled and tapped for mounting the gear door to it. I did this work using a mill at work. The forks are .75 thick, the holes were drilled to a depth of .375. Rather than tap the holes directly to 10-32 as per the manual I have decided to using locking thread helicoils. So I drilled the holes with a number 7 bit and tapped the six holes using a Helicoil tap. I need to order the helicoils still.
