In the retracted position the landing gear acuators sit proud of the upper wing skin. I spent a some time locating the area to be recessed. The basic shape is copied from the RH skin which already had a recess that was completed by a previous builder. Unfortunately the RH skin recess is not quite adequate and will need some rework. Anyway I cut the inner skin as seen in photo 1. Photo 2 shows after the inner perimeter foam has been removed down to the outer skin. Still left is to bevel the edge foam and do a two ply patch over the top.
