Today, after our 'Third-Saturday' breakfast at the local grass strip, my long-time A&P friend Robert McLellan paid a visit to see my project. He has been by several times over the past year or so after our breakfast (because we ride there together), and has offered to help me anytime - but since I haven't really done all that much, I haven't asked him to help - yet. Just wait until I get to the engine...
This is the first time I am logging his visit, because one of the local tech-counselors said it was a good idea for my log book, and I can see that, so here it is.
Robert is a wealth of knowledge - even though today he said "I think I've forgotten more than I knew", in a comical age-referencing response to a local retired test-pilot's praise of his knowledge and ability. He has been an A&P since graduating from Embry-Riddle in the 50's, so you do the math.
One thing's for sure; I treasure his visits and the time I get to spend around him, and hope to learn as much as possible from him every chance I get.
