Brief Description:  Fitted control surfaces on tail

Once I got the stab problems sorted out, I felt I could proceed to get the right bolt combinations for the rudder and elevators.

The tabs that the tailwires attach to are pre-bent in the kit, so they are ready to go. Only thing is, there are three different angles bent into these. Two each for the top of the rudder, the top of the stab, and the bottom of the stab. Once you look at the angles the wires will make - it's pretty obvious what goes where, but initially I was wondering what was up.

The other little issue is that the bends are too close to the bolt holes on a couple of the tabs, so I had to file a bevel on a few washers to give the bolts a level surface to tighten on. This is also one reason I had to go with longer bolts, and order additional ones besides what was spec'd on the hardware list provided by AviPro.

A minor problem. An "aviation" perfectionist could go crazy with this sort of thing - but I ain't afraid to file a washer when I need to. Keeping track of which one goes where is another story...
