Here are the rudder skins laid out on both of my workbenches. They are very thin gage compared to the Vertical Stabilizer skins and thus are very floppy without stiffeners. I began by removing the acrylic from the areas to receive the skin stiffeners.
I also started cutting, match drilling, and dimpling the skins and the stiffeners.
I made the skin stiffeners by cutting the wedges on my bandsaw. I then polished and radiused the stiffener edges using the Scotch Brite wheel on my bench grinder. They also must be dimpled.
