Brief Description: Elevator Skin Preparation for Priming
I cleaned and etched the inside surface of the elevator skins and rear spars in preparation for priming. Before priming, I masked the areas on the skins and spars where the trailing edge ribs are located. These ribs are made of what looks to be styrofoam. They are secured to the skins in a later step using proseal. In order to ensure maximum adhesion, the rib locations are not primed.
