Welcome to my experimental aircraft website.

I am building an RV-14A airplane from a kit that I purchased from Van's Aircraft.

The RV-14 is an all metal, two-seat airplane with side-by-side seating. The "A" means the airplane is the tricycle gear version that has a wheel under the front nose of the airplane.

The purpose of this website is to document the kit construction and to show that I have built this airplane in accordance with the FAA's 51% rule. When I am finished building the airplane, it will be inspected by the FAA, or one of its designated representatives, and a special airworthiness certificate will be issued under the Experimental category. This special airworthiness certificate is an FAA document that grants authorization to operate an amateur-built aircraft in flight, the major portion of which has been fabricated and assembled by persons for their own recreation or education.

This website is for documentation purposes only. It is not to be used for instructional purposes on how to build an airplane. Construction information on this website represents the way I have built my airplane. I do not make any claims, express or implied, that construction information described on this website is accurate, or can be used to build an airplane. Please visit the Van's Aircraft website for information on their products.
