I disassembled both elevators and deburred the holes and edges in all the parts.
I modified the pilot tip of a #40 countersink cutter and tapered it per the plans. I countersunk the 3/32 holes in the trailing edges using this modified cutter. The tapered pilot tip allowed me to countersink the holes perpendicular to the trailing edge. Both sides of the trailing edges were countersunk.
I dimpled all the #40 holes in the counterbalance skins, except for the ones on the top and bottom outboard edge that will be prepared later when the elevator tips are attached.
