I worked on the horizontal stabilizer rear spar assembly today. This involved clecoing the rear spar doubler to the rear spar and final drilling #30 all the 1/8 inch holes common to both. There were also four 3/16 inch holes that were final drilled #12.
I clecoed the four sets of hinge brackets to the rear spar and final drilled #30 the holes in each bracket.
The parts were disassembled and I deburred the edges and lightening holes in the rear spar. All the holes that were drilled were also deburred.
Once these parts are primed, they will be riveted together to complete the rear spar assembly.
The rear spar measures just shy of 9 feet 6 inches long.
