Brief Description:  Rudder Leading Edge

I'm working on the leading edge of the rudder, attempting to form the bend on the left and right skins so that they meet together to form the leading edge. It should end up with a nice even curve all the way around.

Suffice it to say that I am having some difficulty with this. I attempted it using the method described in Section 5.9 of the plans. The method described sounds like a simple process. Tape a dowel or pipe to the skin, then roll it to get the desired curve.

I got the small section at the top of the rudder completed without too much trouble. The middle section has been a bit more challenging due to it being a longer section.

I worked at it over the last few days and was able to get the middle section clecoed together by using duct tape to hold the two sides together. A little more work and I'll be ready to move on to the bottom section. Once that is rolled, the two sides will be riveted together with AD-41-ABS blind rivets.
